The visible result and how it develops need to be explained in the quote, rather than promising a freshly washed appearance on the day.

What’s separate.
Growth can vary between roof faces, around trees and in sheltered areas. A useful assessment considers the material, coating, condition and type of growth together. Some roof problems are defects or deterioration rather than dirt; treatment does not replace repairs, a coating assessment or advice from a roofing professional.
An immediate wash removes material as part of the cleaning visit. A treatment can work over time and may leave visible material while the result develops. Spruce’s service here is roof treatment; an immediate roof wash is not an assumed inclusion. The distinction matters when the property is being photographed, inspected or prepared for sale.
Roof height, pitch, fragile materials and the surrounding ground affect how a treatment can be planned. A roof connected to drinking-water storage needs particular attention to the product instructions and collection arrangements. The assessment should also cover gutters, nearby gardens and the control of wash water where relevant.
The condition at the start, treatment selected and later weather affect the result. Your quote and aftercare notes should explain the expected process, any areas excluded and when to raise a concern. There is no universal completion time that applies to every roof or every growth type.
